Crossroads
Where: Placed on any road to warn drivers that they are approaching a crossroad intersection. It indicates that another road is joining from the left and right, forming a cross.
Purpose: To warn of a potential hazard in the form of a crossroad ahead. It alerts drivers to expect vehicles entering from both sides and helps them prepare for possible traffic conflicts at the intersection.
Action Required by Driver: Approach cautiously and reduce speed when nearing the crossroad. Look carefully in all directions for cross-traffic, and be prepared to stop if other vehicles have the right of way.
- Understand priority — the broad black line on the sign shows which road has priority.
- Give way — vehicles on the minor road must give way to those on the major road.
